Amanda Gelonese is a recent 2013 graduate of Rhode Island College where she received her bachelor’s in dance performance, and was the recipient of the Yetta Rausch Melcer dance award. During her time there she had many experiences with a wide variety of artists including: Billy Siegenfeld, Adele Myers, Danny Buraczeski, and Adrienne Hawkins. In addition to creating her own work for the past three years, Amanda has also choreographed for Triboro Youth Theatre.
She is now a new member of the dance faculty at Loral Sims School of Dance, and is the rehearsal director for the Rhode Island College Dance Company under the direction of Angelica Vessella. Amanda
performs the lead role of Chicken Little in Part of the Oath's KidDance program.
Along with performing, Amanda is also very involved in outreach programs including Dreams and Themes at Elizabeth Baldwin School, Portrait of a Teen and Voices of Beauty.
